European Championship Betting at Marathonbet

Bulgaria Prediction

Bulgaria more than held their own in the recent UEFA Nations League competition as the hosts finished runners-up and just two points behind eventual Group 3 winners, Norway, in League C as they also avoided relegation as well.

Bulgaria finished up on 11 points and were six points clear of 3rd placed Cyprus and a massive eight points ahead of bottom nation, Slovenia who were relegated down to League D. The Bulgarians suffered just one defeat throughout the group stage and that was a 1-0 loss away from home at group winners, Norway.

Aside from that, the hosts gave a solid account of themselves and picked up wins against Slovenia (away) as well as back-to-back home wins against Norway 1-0 and a 2-1 win over Cyprus who were relegated as the worst 3rd place finisher.

Bulgaria will therefore be confident they can get their European Championship qualifying campaign off to a good start here, and having lost just twice in their last 12 home matches in all competitions (France and Bosnia-Herzegovina), the hosts look a good bet here.

Key-Facts – Bulgaria v Montenegro

  • Bulgaria have lost just 2 of their last 12 matches at home in all competitions
  • Montenegro have won just 1 of their last 6 away matches in all competitions
  • These two teams last met 7 years ago which ended in a 1-1 draw

Montenegro Prediction

Montenegro avoided relegation from their group as they finished in 3rd place in Group 4 of League C behind group winners, Serbia and runners-up, Romania, as Cyprus finished up as the worst 3rd placed finisher in League C.

Montenegro claimed just two wins from their six matches during the group stages which were gained over rock-bottom nation Lithuania who finished the group matches without a single point to their name, winning 2-0 at home and 4-1 in the return match in Vilnius.

However, three defeats to Serbia (home and away) along with a 1-0 loss at home to Romania is perhaps a sign of things to come for the visitors as they look to be up against it when they make their way over to Sofia for this difficult opening Group A match against Bulgaria.

Montenegro have won just once from their last six matches away from home in all competitions which was at Lithuania, but losses at Poland and Serbia in recent times underline the troubles they’ve had on their travels.

Betting Tips Verdict

Bulgaria with home advantage should get the job done here but I advise using the draw no bet option on the hosts in this one.
