Bulgaria will seek to continue their good start in this UEFA Nations League when they take on Norway as the betting tips continue on Sunday night.
Bulgaria opened their account in Group 3 of League C with an impressive 2-1 win away at Slovenia which will be a massive confidence boost ahead of their clash with Norway who are expected to be favourites to win this four-nation group.
That said, Bulgaria must be considered to be their closest rivals for promotion from this group that also includes Cyprus, and having lost just once in their last five matches overall, Bulgaria stand a good chance of getting something out of this encounter at their Stadion Vasil Levski in Sofia.
In addition, although Bulgaria failed to qualify for the World Cup, they won four of their five group matches at home with wins against Luxembourg and Belarus as well as notable victories against Netherlands and Sweden – their one defeat was to eventual World Cup winners, France in a narrow 1-0 loss.
Norway continued their recent winning streak in their opening Group 3 match with a solid 2-0 home win over Cyprus to get themselves off to a good start. Norway must fancy their chances of gaining promotion from this group but they need to pick up points away from home and also avoid defeat tonight away at closest rivals, Bulgaria.
Norway have also picked up four friendly wins on the trot with wins over Australia, Albania, Iceland and Panama, but with 10 defeats from their last 14 matches on their travels in all competitions, they’re by no means guaranteed of even a point in Sofia tonight.
During World Cup qualification, Norway had a tough time of it away from home in Group C, finishing with a poor record of 1-0-4 9/11 with their one success being an 8-0 rout of minnows, San Marino.
