Bulgaria v Slovenia Betting Tip Bulgaria – 19 November 2018

Bulgaria can get vital win

International Football Tips

Monday 19th November 1945hrs Bulgaria v Slovenia Football – International – UEFA Nations League  Group 3 in League B may not have the glamour of some other sections in the Nations League but it’s one of the tightest and there are bounds to be plenty of twists and turns on Monday as the top two – Bulgaria and Norway – go in search of the results required to finish first and earn promotion to League Two. The Norwegians sit top courtesy of a superior goal difference but it may well be Bulgaria who have the biggest advantage going into the final games. Continue reading for a match preview of Bulgaria against Slovenia with a selected best betting tip.

It’s a long time since Bulgaria qualified for a major tournament and even if they finished top they would still have plenty to do to reach Euro 2020, but this campaign has at least restored some confidence and belief. Three wins and a draw from their first five matches has them level on points with Norway and they will be going all out to get a home win against a Slovenian team who have yet to win any games so far and will be relegated to the bottom league for the next iteration. That said, Bulgaria won their first three matches in the group and have lost away to Norway and drawn in Cyprus leading into their final game. They will surely have to get back to winning ways in order to finish top. Their home form has been excellent over the past couple of years with nine wins from 11 matches, including against the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. Slovenia are some way off that level and if the home team can cope with the pressure of the match then they’ll be confident that their quality can tell.

Slovenia are currently ranked 62nd in the World and the smart money is that the situation is unlikely to get much better any time soon going by their performances in this competition. It’s been something of a disaster with three defeats and two draws so far. Their two draws have come at home against Cyprus and Norway in their two most recent matches, which may give them something to build from, but their overall form has been shocking with one win in their last 10 matches. They travel to Bulgaria with precious little confidence that they can improve on that record and will no doubt just be looking forward to his campaign ending. No matter what happens on Monday they have no chance of overtaking Cyprus and will be playing at the lowest level when this competition comes back around which will be a sobering thought, especially when they have been relatively competitive up until the past couple of years. They have a chance to affect what happens in this group which may well give them some motivation and with a back to back draws, that’s certainly the perspective that Norway will be taking who are in battle with Bulgaria.

Bulgaria v Slovenia Betting Tip

At the start of this competition Bulgaria would be have absolutely taken this scenario going into the last game. Their home form has been consistently good for a sustained period of time and that will boost their hopes of getting another win tomorrow. They are powerless with what happens in the other game but Norway will be tested away to Cyprus and even regardless of that result, with a goal difference of just one separating the two teams then a win by a couple of goals could yet see them leapfrog Norway even if both teams win.

Slovenia have shown that they are at least playing out these games with two home draws in a row but this will be the first game they play where their fate is sealed and it remains to be seen what reaction that gets. My view is that playing away to Bulgaria on a Monday night immediately before the players return to their club football and will have no thoughts about the international team against until March, it’s going to be a positive for Bulgaria. I’m confident the home team can get the win they need to do their bit and then just see how the other game transpire to determine which level of football they will be playing at next time around in the Nations League.
