Burnley Prediction

Having put together a useful and solid unbeaten run of eight matches without defeat in the Premier League, it looked for all money that Burnley were pulling themselves away from the bottom three with ease and that relegation wasn’t going to be an issue for The Clarets.

However, three recent defeats on the trot have plunged Burnley back into the relegation battle as Sean Dyche’s men hover just above the bottom three and hold a slender two point margin ahead of third from bottom club, Cardiff City.

Defeats to Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Liverpool have undone Burnley’s earlier good work where they’d gained important victories against West Ham, Huddersfield Town, Fulham, Brighton and most impressive all, a 2-1 win over Tottenham.

With just one defeat out of their last five matches at Turf Moor, Dyche will no doubt be impressing upon his players of the importance of picking up points at home from now until the end of the season, starting with today’s clash with Leicester City.

Forwards Barnes (9 goals) and Wood (7 goals) look the most likely for The Clarets here.

Key-Facts – Burnley v Leicester City

  • Burnley have lost just 1 of their last 5 matches at Turf Moor in the EPL
  • Leicester City have lost 3 of their last 4 matches away from home
  • The last meeting between these two clubs ended in a 0-0 draw

Leicester City Prediction

Leicester City climbed back up to a mid-table position of 10th place in the Premier League thanks to last weekend’s 3-1 home win against a down-and-out Fulham outfit, to hand new manager, Brendan Rodgers, his first league win for The Foxes.

Leicester City had previously been beaten 2-1 away at Watford, so Rodgers will be keen for his side to build upon last week’s win against Fulham in order to produce a better showing against Burnley at Turf Moor this Saturday.

The Foxes have been poor away from home in recent times as they’ve lost three of their last four matches away from home with defeats suffered at Wolves, Tottenham and Watford, while picking up just one point from the last possible 12 on offer thanks to a decent 1-1 draw at Liverpool.

Leicester’s away record stands at an ordinary looking 5-3-7 19/23, but the arrival of Brendan Rodgers should have a positive effect on how Leicester City set themselves up on the road, and we should see the visitors becoming harder to beat on their travels as a result.

Striker Vardy (12 goals) still remains a serious threat up front for The Foxes.

Betting Tips Verdict

Burnley will be nervous ahead of the expectation weighing upon them at Turf Moor while Leicester City need to show an improvement in their results away from home. This could end up a stalemate.
