Newport County Preview – Can the Welsh team extend unbeaten start?
Mike Flynn’s Newport County lead the way in League Two after a superb start to their 2020-21 campaign. The Welsh outfit picked up a 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe United on the opening weekend of the season. Newport have gone on to win three out of three since then, seeing off Barrow, Bolton Wanderers and Mansfield Town.
County also impressed in the Carabao Cup this term. They reached the last 16, eventually losing out to Premier League Newcastle United on penalties. Before that, the Exiles beat Swansea City, Cambridge and Watford in the EFL Cup.
