Cardiff City started well enough under Mick McCarthy, but the former Republic of Ireland manager was sacked after the Bluebirds went on a run of eight straight league losses. They went from the cusp of the play-offs to relegation fodder.
U23 manager Steve Morison took over as caretaker initially but was given the job on a full-time basis after guiding the Bluebirds to a 2-1 home win over Huddersfield Town before the November international break. Cardiff also came from behind to beat Preston North End at Deepdale last weekend.
