Charlton Athletic made a stunning start to their league season, picking up four wins and two draws from their opening six. However, last season’s EFL League One play-off winners have won just three league matches since beating Reading 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium back in August.
Charlton have yet to win a game in 2020, drawing one and losing four of five league and cup matches. Since battling to a 3-2 home win over Bristol City, which remains their only victory since October, the Addicks have taken just one point from a possible 12 in the league and were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup at the first hurdle.
The Valley was a fortress last season, as the London club accumulated a staggering 53 league points on their own patch. However, Lee Bowyer’s boys have already lost five times at The Valley this term, winning five and drawing four of their other nine Championship home fixtures.
