Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

Onto the Premier League next, and the big clash at lunchtime on Saturday sees a blockbuster between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge as the betting tips continue in the return of the top flight action following the international break.

Chelsea undoubtedly went into the international break in superior form to that of United as the hosts still remain unbeaten this season under new manager Maurizio Sarri who seems to have turned the squad’s morale and hunger around since his arrival. More importantly, the likes of Eden Hazard (7 goals from 8 matches) now seems to be enjoying his football again, and that can only be a good thing for Chelsea.

The Blues recently settled for a point at home to Liverpool in a 1-1 draw but have been ruthless against the ‘lesser lights’ by registering convincing wins over Bournemouth 2-0, Cardiff City 4-1 and Southampton 3-0 – the latter being recorded at St Mary’s Stadium.

Chelsea set the tone for this season by recording a 3-2 home win over Arsenal and they’ll now have a wobbling Manchester United in their sights on Saturday lunchtime as they look to make it a miserable return for former Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho.

It’s been a tough start to the season for Manchester United as the relationship between players and Jose Mourinho continues to be fractious at best, as Mourinho’s various spats with his players have become increasingly public.

A similar story, then, to Mourinho’s second stint at Chelsea appears to be unfolding at Old Trafford with Mourinho in serious danger of ‘losing the dressing room’ and another defeat against Chelsea would not only virtually seal United’s fate in another failed title attempt, but could also signal the end of Mourinho’s reign.

The Red Devils’ season has quite frankly been a failure so far and can be summed up by sitting in 8th place level on points with Watford and sitting below both Bournemouth and Wolves, and although United have lost just once in their last five matches, their results away from home have been far from convincing.

Wins at Burnley and Watford have been offset by defeats at Brighton and West Ham, the latter being a heavy 3-1 loss at the London Stadium with Mourinho’s side lacking any real belief or desire, and it’s going to be extremely tough for the visitors to suddenly increase the levels of tempo and industry against an in-form Chelsea today I feel.

My betting tips advise a Chelsea win in this one.
