Chelsea Prediction – Can Chelsea go clear at top of group?
Following their crucial Matchday 3 1-0 win away at Ajax, Chelsea look to be in a promising position to move clear at the top of Group H when they play host to their top of the table rivals, Ajax, at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Chelsea are currently enjoying a purple patch of form under manager, Frank Lampard, as The Blues have won 8 of their last 9 matches overall in all competitions with their one defeat being a League Cup loss to Manchester United.
However, 5 wins on the trot in the Premier League along with back-to-back wins in the Champions League against Lille (2-1 away) and Ajax (1-0 away) will have been a massive boost for the hosts who now look to go clear at the top of Group H.
If they’re to do so though, Chelsea will need to break a run of 4 home ties without a win in this competition following draws with Roma, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, as well as defeat last time out in a disappointing 1-0 loss to Valencia on Matchday 1.
Ajax Prediction – Can Ajax stay the pace?
It’s been the other way around for Ajax so far in Group H as the Dutch champions registered back-to-back wins in the group against Lille 3-0 at home and a 3-0 win away at Valencia to get their Champions League group campaign off to an excellent start.
However, a 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea has somewhat ruined this great start and they now make their way to England’s capital looking to at least avoid defeat as they look to stave off the challenge from Spanish outfit, Valencia, who take on French side lille, who are bottom of Group H.
The recent defeat to Chelsea ended Ajax’s great unbeaten run of 6 matches without a loss, but their away form still remains intact as the visitors are unbeaten in their last 13 matches on their travels in this competition.
Ajax have also won their last 4 away matches on the trot in all competitions, but this clash at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea could be their toughest assignment yet this season.
Key-Facts – Chelsea vs Ajax

Betting Tips Verdict
