Chelsea Prediction – Can Chelsea salvage Champions League campaign?
Chelsea’s bubble is in serious danger of bursting as the hosts were handed a third defeat in five matches on Saturday when they suffered a heavy 3-1 loss away at Premier League strugglers, Everton, and following previous defeats to Manchester City and West Ham, Frank Lampard’s side are losing ground on the teams above them.
Whilst there’s no need to push the panic button just yet with Chelsea still comfortably occupying 4th place and a 5-point cushion ahead of Manchester United, this Tuesday night clash with Lille takes on even more importance as failure to win this encounter could see Chelsea ‘relegated’ to the Europa League.

The French Ligue 1 visitors sit rock-bottom of Group H with just 1 point to their name after what has been a wretched Champions League campaign for Christophe Galtier’s side as they make their way over to London for this Matchday 6 clash with Chelsea.
Despite their woes in the Champions League, Lille picked up a third win on the trot in the domestic Ligue 1 on the weekend when they registered a 1-0 victory against Brest, which followed previous 1-0 wins against Dijon and Lyon respectively.
These recent successes in the French top flight are in stark contrast though to their exploits in the Champions League where they’ve lost 4 of their 5 matches in Group H to date having lost to Ajax home and away and losses to Chelsea and Valencia.
