CHELTENHAM TOWN v CAMBRIDGE UNITED

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Cheltenham Town return to their Whaddon Road ground on Tuesday night as they look to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat away at Notts County on the weekend, when they take on Cambridge United this evening.

Before the loss at Notts County, Cheltenham had started to put together a mini revival as they’d beaten Lincoln City 1-0 at home and then followed that up with points against Wycombe Wanderers and high-scoring Luton Town in 3-3 and 2-2 draws respectively.

There are also encouraging signs at home too for Cheltenham as they’ve suffered just one defeat from their last six, while securing wins over Colchester United, Mansfield Town, Swindon Town and Lincoln City amidst an overall record of  5-1-3  17/12. Forward Eisa (6 goals) is the main threat up front.

Visitors Cambridge United found themselves on the end of a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of free-scoring Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon, and they hit the road again to Cheltenham for Tuesday night’s clash, looking for something positive here.

Cambridge had previously put together a five match unbeaten run in League Two, but the worrying factor for the visitors coming into this clash is that they’ve now failed to score in each of their last three league matches.

Despite recent back-to-back wins over Yeovil Town and Chesterfield, these were both recorded at Abbey Stadium and against bottom half opposition, while United’s away record stands at an ordinary looking  2-2-5  4/15 with goals being a rare commodity for the away side.

Cheltenham have the edge here over a Cambridge side who have failed to score in their last four away matches.
