Europa League at Bet Victor

Thursday evening sees a packed slate of fixtures in the 1st legs of the 1st qualifying round of the Europa League and our next preview features a clash between two British teams, with Connah’s Quay taking on Kilmarnock as the betting tips continue at the Deeside College Stadium.

Connahs Quay Prediction – Can Connah’s Quay keep Kilmarnock at bay?

Connah’s Quay finished runners-up to the Welsh champions, TNS, in the Championship Round group of the Welsh Premier League at the end of last season.

This secured their place in this 1st qualifying round of the Europa League where they’ll meet British opposition in the shape of Kilmarnock.

The hosts finished some 12 points adrift of TNS in the Championship Round and also suffered a 3-0 defeat in the final of the Welsh Cup to them too.

They’ve since secured a 1-0 win over Irish club, Cliftonville and a creditable 0-0 draw away at another Scottish club, Aberdeen, in recent pre-season friendlies.

Recent results at home have been unconvincing though despite beating Newtown in the league and the aforementioned win over Cliftonville.

A 3-1 loss to Ross County in the Scottish Challenge Cup was followed by a draw with Barry Town as Connah’s Quay could only muster a 1-1 draw.

Europa League form has also been a bit of a problem in previous campaigns as Connah’s Quay have lost 5 of their last 6 matches.

Kilmarnock Prediction – Can Kilmarnock take a lead up to Scotland?

Last season was a successful campaign for Kilmarnock in the Scottish top flight as they secured a place in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.

The visitors finished in 3rd place at the end of the regular season in the Premiership and held onto this spot in the Championship Round.

Despite being handed back-to-back defeats by Aberdeen and Celtic, Kilmarnock bounced back in style to record 3 wins on the trot to end their season on a high note.

Victories over Hearts, Hibernian and Rangers helped secure Kilmarnock’s place in the 1st qualifying round of the Europa League.

Pre-season friendlies away in Romania weren’t quite so successful though for Kilmarnock on their pre-season tour to Romania.

A 0-0 draw at Gaz Metan was followed by a 3-0 defeat at Dinamo Bucaresti, but they have a chance to rectify things on the road in Wales on Thursday night.

Kilmarnock have lost just 1 of their 4 matches in their limited Europa League history, but haven’t appeared in this competition for 18 years!
