Next up is a mid-table encounter between Coritiba and Sport Recife in the Brazilian Serie A with both teams going in search of all three points in order to lift themselves up into the top half of the division.
Although the hosts, Coritiba have gone six league matches without a win in the Brazilian top flight, they still remain unbeaten at their Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira with a pretty solid looking record of 3-3-0 8/3 on home turf, along with possessing the third joint best defensive record at home in Serie A.

Visitors Sport Recife have lost just once in their last five Serie A matches ahead of their trip to Parana, which was a 3-1 loss at home to Vitoria, but recent wins over Santos and Atletico PR may well give them a timely boost here.
However, much of Sport Recife’s early successes have been at their Estádio Adelmar da Costa Carvalho, where they’ve suffered just one defeat on home turf to date. Away from home, they registered their first win of the season on the road last time out at Santos, but their overall record is poor as it stands at 1-1-3 4/9.
Just two wins from their last 15 away matches tells its own story, so I therefore believe the home side have what it takes to gain the edge here this evening.
