Coventry City have taken many people by surprise by their excellent first half to the season. Mark Robins’ troops had been tipped for a season of struggle on their return to the Coventry Building Society Arena, but City have spent all campaign in and around the play-off places.
They made their home a fortress in the early months of the season, winning each of their opening six home league games. However, they have won one, drawn two and lost three of their last six on their own patch. They did bounce back with a 1-0 FA Cup win over Derby County on 8th January, nonetheless.

Like Coventry, Queens Park Rangers have also been one of the surprise packages in the Championship this season. Mark Warburton is doing a fine job at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, with Rangers currently sitting in fourth spot with 44 points to their name.
