Crewe Alexandra and Forest Green Rovers meet at Gresty Road in a relegation battle in League Two on Tuesday night, with both teams heading into this fixture needing all three points to ease their respective relegation worries.
Crewe occupy 20th place on the fourth tier league ladder, just one league position higher than Forest Green Rovers, but level on points as the hosts look to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Coventry City.

Forest Green Rovers found themselves on the end of a second defeat on the trot on the weekend as they went down 3-1 away at League Two leaders, Accrington Stanley, and they hit the road again on Tuesday night when they face fellow strugglers, Crewe Alexandra.
Rovers had previously lost 2-1 at their New Lawn ground to Notts County, but they’d previously strung together a five-match winning streak on home turf which had lifted them away from immediate relegation danger.
However, it appears that Forest Green Rovers’ best chances of avoiding a desperate relegation scramble towards the end of the season, is their form on home turf where they’ve registered 8 of their 10 wins overall so far this season. By contrast, their away record stands at a poor 2-5-11 16/34, where they’re without a win from their last 10 outings.
