Qualification now seems to look beyond Slovakia as they trail 2nd placed Hungary by 2 points and although they still have two matches remaining of this group stage, this Saturday represents a tall order for the visitors as they face a strong Croatian unit in their own backyard.
Following a 1-0 loss away at Wales, Slovakia have registered back-to-back wins on the road at Azerbaijan 5-1 and a 2-1 win at Hungary, but their mettle will be severely tested in Rijeka on Saturday night as they need all three points in order to have a decent chance of overhauling Hungary into a top two finish in Group E.
