Crystal Palace will go in search of a third league win on the trot when they play host to Cardiff City following recent back-to-back wins over Leicester City and an amazing 3-2 win at Premier League leaders Manchester City thanks to a stunning strike from Andros Townsend.
These two recent wins alleviated any immediate relegation fears for Roy Hodgson’s men but all three points against Cardiff City will put some daylight between themselves and the visitors here. Crystal Palace’s home record stands at a disappointing 2-2-4 5/8 and they’d previously suffered defeats to Liverpool, Southampton, Wolves and Tottenham within a six match run without a win.
However, since Townsend has been moved into a more central attacking role, he’s popped up with two stunning strikes for The Eagles and with the likes of Zaha, Milivojevic and Mc Arthur in their ranks, the hosts will be confident of claiming the spoils here.

Cardiff City’s impressive three-match winning streak at home came to an abrupt end last time out when they were handed a heavy 5-1 defeat at home by a resurgent Manchester United under the new management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Bluebirds now face a tough trip to London to face Crystal Palace, especially when looking at Cardiff’s woeful away record of 0-1-7 5/18 that includes losing their last six matches on the trot on their travels with defeats at Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, West Ham and Watford.
During this miserable sequence of results on the road, Neil Warnock’s side have conceded a total of 16 goals and scored just 5 in reply, so this trip also looks a tall order for the Welsh club. In addition, Cardiff have managed to keep just one clean sheet on the road so far this season which was a 0-0 draw at Huddersfield Town.
By the same token, the visitors have failed to score in 4 of their 8 matches away from home so far this term, and this could be another factor against Cardiff City here.
