Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

Premier League action returns over the Easter period following the international break, and Crystal Palace and Liverpool return to their respective business in the English top flight; the hosts looking to avoid relegation, while the visitors aim for second place and a Champions League berth.

Crystal Palace ended a worrying four-match losing streak last time out when they secured a vital three points with what seemed an unlikely 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town, which relieved The Eagles’ relegation concerns, but they need to get something at Selhurst Park on Saturday against Liverpool to avoid being dragged back down into the bottom three.

Palace had actually slumped to seven league matches without a win in the Premier League prior to that important win at Huddersfield, which included defeats to Arsenal 4-1, Everton 3-1, Tottenham 1-0, Manchester United 3-2 and Chelsea 2-1.

Palace hold a home record of  4-5-6  18/23 which isn’t too bad considering their horrific start to the season, but more importantly for the purposes of my pick here, The Eagles have lost by 2 goals or more at home just twice all season, and they were their first two home matches of the season.

Liverpool will be aiming to be the ‘best of the rest’ behind runaway league leaders, Manchester City over their remaining seven matches of the season, and they did their Champions League automatic qualification prospects no harm at all with a resounding 5-0 home win over Watford last time out.

Liverpool have won five of their last seven with victories over Huddersfield Town, Southampton, West Ham, Newcastle United and Watford, but there have been a few question marks surrounding The Reds’ results away from home in recent times as they’ve suffered defeats at Swansea City and arch rivals, Manchester United.

Liverpool’s away record reads  8-3-4  35/24 and following the recent international break, this may well be the best time for Crystal Palace to play the visitors as they look to rekindle their swashbuckling approach.
