Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

After what was a horrific start to this Premier League season for Crystal Palace, they’re now finishing their campaign in strong fashion ahead of their last home match of the season when they play host to relegated West Brom.

Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson, inherited a side that had lost their first four league matches of the season under former boss, Frank de Boer, who was shown the door after one of the briefest spells of management in Premier League history.

And although Hodgson lost his first three league matches in charge, the appointment of the former England manager proved to be a master stroke as The Eagles are now very close to achieving a top half finish in the top flight – something that would have seemed a near impossibility for even the most ardent of Palace fans back in September.

However, Hodgson, and a strong and resilient unit of players have turned their season around in impressive fashion, and the home side come into this final day on the back of a five match unbeaten run which includes wins over Brighton, Leicester City and Stoke City.

Creative midfielders, Zaha (8 goals) and Milojevic (10 goals) have been the stand-out attacking players in the Palace set up but it’s been an outstanding team effort from the back-room staff to the players on the pitch, which has enabled Palace to be playing top flight football again next season.

Onto West Brom, and we say goodbye to The Baggies in this their final match of Premier League football as the Championship beckons for next season. The west midlands outfit put up a spirited fight in their battle against relegation, but the previous regime of Alan Pardew had left caretaker manager, Darren Moore simply too much to do.

However, The Baggies almost achieved the impossible by putting together a five match unbeaten run which included wins over Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham – with Moore equalling Pardew’s record of three league wins but Pardew had wasted 21 matches in doing so.

In the end though, West Brom’s fight against the drop was taken out of their hands with Southampton’s 1-0 win away at Swansea City on Tuesday night which relegated The Baggies along with Swansea City, barring a miracle!

After fighting so hard, I believe it’ll be very difficult for West Brom to match that intensity that they showed in the past couple of weeks or so, and Palace should take the spoils here.
