Returning to League B Group 4 and group winners, Denmark take on already relegated, Republic of Ireland as the betting tips continue on Monday evening.
It’s a bit of a dead rubber, but Denmark will no doubt be keen to extend their unbeaten run in their UEFA Nations League campaign against down and out Republic of Ireland with the hosts looking to put the icing on what has been a successful competition for them so far.
Important wins over their nearest rivals, Wales, both home and away virtually sealed promotion anyway, but a point in a 0-0 draw away at Republic of Ireland helped them across the line with a game to spare.
The hosts have lost just twice in their last 13 matches overall in all competitions while at home, they bring an unbeaten seven-match sequence into this clash with them, a run that also includes six clean sheets. The likes of goalkeeper Schmeichel (Leicester City), midfielders Eriksen (Tottenham) and Hojbjerg (Southampton) along with Braithwaite (Middlesbrough) will be familiar with most of their Irish counterparts and should have too much quality tonight.
Republic of Ireland sit bottom of Group 4 with just a solitary point to their name thanks to a 0-0 draw at home with group winners and tonight’s opponents, Denmark. However, home and away defeats to their rivals Wales have condemned the Irish to relegation with a tough trip to Copenhagen ahead of them.
The Irish have managed just one win from their last 10 internationals which was a 2-1 win over USA, but having lost three of their last five on their travels with losses at Turkey, France and Wales, they look to have their work cut out to get anything out of the Danes here.
