The Sunday lunchtime kick-off in the Championship brings us the top of the bill in this weekend’s fixtures with fifth placed Derby County taking on automatic promotion candidates, Cardiff City, at the iPro Stadium with Derby in particular, keen to grab all three points here.

Unlike Derby, visitors, Cardiff City are showing no signs of slowing down as The Bluebirds have won their last seven matches on the trot and are unbeaten in their last 11 overall, and this impressive momentum have lifted the Welsh outfit into second place and they’ve emerged as very serious automatic promotion candidates.
In addition, Cardiff have won three of their last four away from home with wins at Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Brentford, and they possess an away record of 9-4-5 23/18 which has seen a vast improvement as the season has progressed.
Cardiff manager, Neil Warnock has seen this all before and he’s already taken Sheffield United and QPR from the Championship up to the Premier League. The Bluebirds will just need to avoid defeat here to further strengthen their position.
