Derby County have been superb at home in the EFL Championship this season. Can the Rams get the better of high-flying Fulham at Pride Park on Friday night? Scott Parker’s boys will be hoping to hit back after last weekend’s shock home defeat, but this will be a tough test for the London side. Check out our betting preview, with the latest odds and best tips.

Derby County Preview – Can the Rams pick up another home win?

It’s been a testing first season for Phillip Cocu at Derby County. The Rams have never really got going, spending practically all season in the bottom half of the Championship table. County head into Friday’s clash with Fulham in 13th place, nine points adrift of the play-offs.

Overall, the Rams have won 11, drawn 11 and lost 11 to take 44 points from a possible 99. Nine of those victories have come on home soil. Pride Park has been a fortress in the Championship this term, with no side claiming more home points than Derby. Cocu’s men have accumulated 33 points on their own patch, winning nine, drawing six and losing just two.

Our betting prediction:
Fulham to score first
4/5

Derby still have slim play-off aspirations, and a win over third-place Fulham on Friday would send out a signal of intent to their Championship rivals. Can the club from the East Midlands seal a tenth home league victory of the season in this one?

Fulham Preview – Will the promotion-chasing Cottagers hit back with a vital away victory?

The Championship was shocked last weekend, as in-form Fulham were thumped at home by relegation-threatened Barnsley. It was a home banker before a ball was kicked at Craven Cottage, but a Cauley Woodrow brace and a Jacob Brown strike gave the Tykes a deserved 3-0 victory. That was Fulham’s first league defeat since losing at home to Reading on New Year’s Day.

Nonetheless, Fulham are in a great position in the Championship table. Victory at Pride Park on Friday will put them level on points with second-place Leeds United, who entertain Reading at Elland Road on Saturday. After one disappointing season in the top flight, the Londoners have unfinished business with the Premier League.

Scott Parker’s troops have been solid away from home this term. So far, Fulham have won six, drawn six and lost four of 14 away league matches. The Whites have not lost on the road in league action since a 1-0 defeat to rivals Brentford on December 14th. Can they put last weekend’s disappointment behind them and get back on track with three points at Pride Park on Friday?

Derby County vs Fulham Betting Advice

When these two sides squared off at Craven Cottage back in November, Fulham cruised to a 3-0 win. Bobby Reid opened the scoring early on, with the prolific Aleksandar Mitrovic making it 2-0 before half time. Skipper Tom Cairney scored at the death to add even more gloss to the scoreline.

Key Facts – Derby County vs Fulham Betting Tip

  • Derby have the joint best home record in the Championship
  • Fulham are unbeaten away from home in the league since December
  • The Cottagers had won four and drawn two of six league matches before last weekend’s shock home defeat

This is a big fixture for both teams, as Fulham are pushing for the top two, while Derby will want to keep their slim play-off hopes alive. However, I can see Fulham securing all three points at Pride Park on Friday night. Back the away team to win and both teams to score at 15/4.
