Stoke City Preview – Will the Potters return to winning ways?
Stoke City were involved in a strange game with Cardiff City on Tuesday. Neither side played particularly well, but Sam Vokes missed a penalty in the second period which would have put the Potters 2-0 up. Instead, two late goals gave Cardiff an unlikely 2-1 win at the bet365 Stadium.
Prior to the midweek loss to the Bluebirds, Stoke had taken seven points from their previous three fixtures. Michael O’Neill’s boys have made a strong start to their season, winning eight of their opening 17. City are currently just two points off the play-off places.
