Three straight wins have seen Dinamo take control of this section and ensure qualification for the knockout phase. The Croatian champions will top the group regardless of results on match day six but they will want to attempt to preserve their unbeaten record and also try to go through the group campaign without conceding a goal. Which in itself would be a unique achievement.
Dinamo began the group with draws against Feyenoord and CSKA Moscow before reeling off back to back victories over Wolfsberger and then a dominant win in Rotterdam last week which secured them top spot. It’s certainly gone some way to making up for being knocked out Champions League qualification earlier in the season.

It’s been a European campaign to forget for CSKA and they will just be wishing for it to be over now. The Russians travel to Zagreb on Thursday knowing that whatever happens they are unable to qualify. A 1-0 loss at home to Wolfsberger was the latest in a long list of disappointments in the section and they are now making up the numbers.

CSKA’s form in general has been extremely poor of late. Having started the domestic season well they have failed to win any of their last three in the Russian Premier League and none of their last five in all competitions. Pressure is starting to build on head coach Viktor Goncharenko who celebrates four years in charge this month.
