Doncaster Rovers may well be looking forward to returning to their Keepmoat Stadium for Tuesday night’s encounter with Portsmouth in League One following a second defeat away from home on the weekend for Rovers.

Visitors Portsmouth registered a second win on the trot in League One on the weekend when they beat MK Dons 2-0 at Fratton Park to hand Kenny Jackett’s men a third league win from their last four matches overall.
Pompey have made a good start to life back in League One this season following promotion from League Two at the end of last term, and the south coast side currently sit in eighth place as they prepare for a long trip up north for this clash.
However, Portsmouth’s away record has been a bit hit-or-miss so far this season with wins recorded at AFC Wimbledon and Gillingham, but also suffering defeats at Northampton Town and Scunthorpe United included within a record of 2-1-3 5/9.
This could provide Doncaster with an opportunity of getting something out of this encounter.
