Dover may not get it all their way against Eastleigh

DOVER ATHLETIC v EASTLEIGH

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Last week’s break in the National League schedule may have come at a bad time for Dover Athletic who are currently enjoying a strong eight game run without defeat as they aim for a ninth when Eastleigh come to town on Saturday.

This impressive run of form has lifted Dover Athletic into top spot of the National League, level on points with Wrexham, but Dover do have a game in hand over the Welsh outfit who were in action last night, recording a 1-0 win away at Chester.

Dover are in good form at the moment at their Perrys Crabble Stadium with three wins from their last four with victories over Chester, Solihull Moors and Woking amidst an overall record of  4-3-2  13/7, but they’ve won by two goals on only two occasions to date. Forward Bird (9 goals) is the danger man up front.

Visitors Eastleigh may well be kicking themselves after letting a two-goal advantage slip last Saturday in their 2-2 draw with Chester, as The Spitfires had to make do with a point instead of all three, after seemingly being in charge.

Eastleigh have produced some mixed results in recent weeks as they’ve recorded wins against Gateshead and third placed Macclesfield Town, the latter being a 2-1 win away from home, but have also fallen to defeats against second placed Wrexham and a very disappointing loss at home to bottom club, Solihull Moors.

The Spitfires possess an away record that stands at  2-4-3  9/10 with their other win on the road being at Hartlepool United, but overall, they haven’t been beaten by two goals or more on their travels to date. Midfielder Williamson (8 goals) is their leading goalscorer.

Whilst Dover are favourites, I don’t think they’ll thrash Eastleigh here.
