Dundee sit second from bottom in the Scottish Premiership in what has been a tough campaign for The Dees as the hosts head into this difficult fixture with just one league win under their belt from their last nine matches.
That rare win actually came away from home in a surprising 2-1 win away at Hearts, but with just two wins from their last 17 matches overall in the Scottish top flight, it looks like being a tough battle against relegation for Wednesday night’s hosts.
Indeed, a poor home record of 1-3-8 8/22 hasn’t done them any favours and along with St Mirren, they’re the joint lowest goal scorers at home in the division and second only to St Mirren in terms of conceding at home.

Kilmarnock on the other hand are enjoying a relatively successful campaign as the visitors occupy 4th place and could move level on 48 points with second placed Rangers if they take all three points at Dens Park on Wednesday night.
Kilmarnock will be keen to bounce back from their recent 2-1 defeat at home to Hearts, and with a reasonable looking away record which stands at 5-5-2 13/12, Killie stand every chance of walking away with at least a point against a poor Dundee outfit.
The only concern seems to be the number of draws that Kilmarnock have been involved in so far this season, particularly away from home as they’ve drawn the most games away from home in the Premiership so far this season.
On the other hand, Kilmarnock have suffered just one defeat from their last nine matches on their travels and they certainly should at the very least, avoid defeat here.
