East Fife Preview – Can East Fife jump into top five?
East Fife were handed a heavy 3-0 defeat away from home last time out in the Scottish League One to 3rd placed Montrose but they now return to their Bayview Stadium for this upcoming clash against Clyde, lookijg to bounce back with a win which could lift them up into the top five.
East Fife are just two points behind 5th placed Peterhead and having put together some solid results at home so far this season which has seen the hosts remain unbeaten, they’ll fancy their chances of adding to their points tally here.
A solid home record of 4-2-0 10/4 includes wins against Dumbarton, Airdrie, Forfar and Falkirk (the latter being against the League One leaders), will give East Fife plenty of confidence for all three points here.
Clyde Preview – Can Clyde pull away?
Clyde currently sit third from bottom in the Scottish League One but they eased their relegation worries last time out in the Scottish third tier when they recorded a 2-0 win away from home at Peterhead which put an end to a worrying three-match sequence without a win.
Clyde had previously suffered defeats at home to Airdrie and tonight’s hosts, East Fife, the latter a 3-1 loss, along with picking up just a point in a 2-2 draw with Montrose, but an indifferent away record of 2-1-2 7/10 may not be enough for Clyde to get anything out of a solid East Fife unit.
However, Clyde have won two of their last three matches on the road with victories at Cove Rangers and Peterhead so they will be hoping they can continue this run at the Bayview Stadium.
