Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction

Eintracht Frankfurt have put together a five match unbeaten run in all competitions which includes a creditable 2-2 draw away at Ukraine club Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of the round of 16 in the Europa League during the week.

The hosts will now feel they’ve a great chance of progressing through to the next round therefore in Europe, while on the domestic front, Eintracht Frankfurt have recorded a 3-1 home win over Freiburg along with taking points off Werder Bremen, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in recent weeks in the Bundesliga in 2-2, 1-1 and 0-0 draws respectively.

It’s been quite a successful campaign so far this season for the hosts who currently occupy 6th place in the German top flight and the Europa League qualifier spot ahead of today’s clash with Gladbach, and with a reasonable looking home record of 5-2-3 23/13 under their belts, they’ll be confident of getting something here too.

Although recent results on home turf have been produced a mixed return, the likes of forward trio Jovic (14 goals), Haller (11 goals) and Rebic (7 goals) should give the hosts a good chance of at least a point here.

Key-Facts – Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Moenchengladbach

  • Eintracht Frankfurt are unbeaten in their last 5 matches in all competitions
  • Eintracht Frankfurt have drawn 4 of their last 5 matches
  • Gladbach have been inconsistent away from home this season

Borussia Moenchengladbach Prediction

Onto the visitors, and Gladbach sit in third place in the German top flight and hold a comfortable seven point cushion ahead of 5th placed Wolfsburg as they look to nail down a top four finish come the end of the season which qualifies them for an automatic spot in the Champions League.

Gladbach’s overall recent results have also been mixed as they’ve recently registered wins against Bayer Leverkusen, Augsburg and Schalke 04 in 1-0, 2-00 and 2-0 wins respectively, but these victories have been offset by defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin.

But it’s away from home where Gladbach haven’t been entirely convincing so far this season as an overall away record of 4-3-4 16/15 indicates, which includes recent defeats at RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund as well as back-to-back wins at Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04.

Betting Tips Verdict

So, to sum up, both teams have produced mixed results in recent weeks but I’ll give the nod to the hosts here who should at least gain another point on home turf, and indeed could take all three points with a narrow victory by perhaps 1-0.
