Augsburg Preview – Can Augsburg improve on road?
10th placed Augsburg recorded a 2-1home win against Werder Bremen in last weekend’s Bundesliga action which in turn not only saw them move one league position above their Friday night’s opponents, Eintracht Frankfurt, but also put an end to their 3-match losing streak.
Recent defeats away from home at RB Leipzig 3-1 and Union Berlin 2-0 were either side of a 5-3 loss at home to Borussia Dortmund, so perhaps the jury is still out as to whether the visitors can continue last week’s victory into tonight’s clash in Frankfurt.
Augsburg make their way to Frankfurt on the back of two defeats on the trot on their travels which were at RB Leipzig and Union Berlin while an overall away record of 2-3-5 12/22 still requires further attention by the visitors.
