Saturday’s visitors, Mainz, continue to flirt with the relegation zone as they sit fourth from bottom in the Bundesliga and hold a slender one-point lead over third from bottom outfit, Fortuna Dusseldorf who occupy the relegation play-off spot.
Mainz’s situation wasn’t helped by last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at home to Hoffenheim and they now face a tough trip to Eintracht Frankfurt on the back of five league matches without a win in the German top flight.
