Everton have lifted themselves up into 10th place on the Premier League ladder thanks to recent back-to-back wins against Chelsea and West Ham with The Toffees winning 2-0 at home and away respectively.
Marco Silva’s men have made improvements in recent times to their results in the top flight as the hosts have lost just one of their last five matches which was a 3-2 loss away at Newcastle United, but a previous win away at Cardiff City along with a point against their merseyside rivals, Liverpool, has settled the fans down for now.
However, Goodison Park hasn’t necessarily been a happy hunting ground for Everton in recent times as the hosts have won just twice out of their last nine matches which were victories against Bournemouth and Chelsea.
Everton’s home record overall stands at 7-4-5 23/21 and the fans expect more at home of The Toffees who are by no means guaranteed of recording a third win on the trot in this clash.

Arsenal sit in 4th place in the Premier League and the Gunners fans will be delighted that manager Unai Emery has transformed Arsenal into top four material once again as they continue to challenge for a top four finish which would bring them Champions League football again.
It’s been a few seasons of Europa League ‘mediocrity’ for the London club, but this season has seen a more consistent Arsenal outfit and the visitors bring a six match unbeaten run into this contest on merseyside which includes five wins.
Victories against Huddersfield Town, Southampton, Bournemouth, Manchester United and Newcastle United have lifted Arsenal back into the top four, and another three points at Everton could see The Gunners leapfrog their north London rivals, Tottenham, into 3rd place.
An away record of 5-4-5 26/27 suggests we shouldn’t get too carried away with Arsenal away from home though, and although they’ve been unbeaten in their last two matches on their travels, the visitors previously went six matches without a win on the road which included defeats at Southampton, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester City.
