Everton Preview – Will the Toffees avoid a fourth straight defeat?

Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez made a good start to life at Everton. The Toffees were riding high in the Premier League table after six games, winning four, drawing one and losing one. However, their form has gone downhill since.

Everton have yet to win since seeing off struggling Norwich City at Goodison on 25th September. They picked up a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the next one but have gone on to lose their following three. Last time out at home, Everton crashed to an embarrassing 5-2 reverse to lowly Watford.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
7/10

After taking just one point from the last 12 on offer, the Merseysiders will be desperate for their first victory in over a month here. The home win is available at 11/5.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview – Can Conte make it two wins in two?

The Tottenham Hotspur board parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo after Spurs’ poor loss against Manchester United last weekend. The Lilywhites started well but have won just two of their last seven in the league, suffering five defeats along the way.

The club acted quickly to bring in ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Lilywhites got off to a winning start under the Italian in the UEFA Europa Conference League in midweek, beating Dutch side Vitesse 3-2 in an eventful game in the English capital.

Conte was an extremely popular figure during his time in west London with Chelsea, but how will he fare at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium? Spurs will be targeting all three points from this one.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Advice

These two last met in the Premier League back in April. It was an entertaining affair at Goodison Park, with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Harry Kane netting two each in a 2-2 draw. The reverse league fixture ended in a 1-0 win for the Toffees at the start of the campaign.

The pair also played out a nine-goal thriller in Merseyside in the FA Cup in February, with the hosts running out 5-4 winners. Tottenham have not won at Goodison since December 2018.

Key Facts – Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tip

  • There were 14 goals scored in the three meetings last term
  • Everton have lost their last three
  • Tottenham have lost five of their past seven in the league

With neither team in good form, this is not an easy one to call. The pressure is mounting on Benitez, while Conte has only had a few days to access his Spurs squad. With that in mind, a draw would not be a bad result for either side. Check out the draw and both teams to score at 10/3.

Heung-Min Son scored the first goal of the Conte era in midweek, and Tottenham’s South Korean star is available at 21/10 to score anytime at Goodison this Sunday.
