Everton Preview – Will the Toffees’ winning run continue?

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton have made a stunning start to their 2020-21 season, winning every league and cup game so far. The Toffees started with a 1-0 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and have not looked back since. Everton have gone on to beat Salford City, West Bromwich Albion, Fleetwood Town and Crystal Palace.

In the second round of the Carabao Cup, Everton eased past Salford at Goodison Park, with Michael Keane, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Moise Kean netting in the 3-0 success. They then won 5-2 at Fleetwood in the previous round, with Richarlison bagging a brace.

Everton sit joint top of the Premier League table at present with rivals Liverpool and Leicester City. Those three are the only teams in the top flight with a 100% record. Can the Merseyside outfit beat Premier League opposition in the EFL Cup on Wednesday?

West Ham United Preview – Can the Hammers upset the in-form Merseysiders?

David Moyes’ West Ham United have made a steady start to their season, winning three of their opening five league and cup matches.

The Hammers, who had Alan Irvine in the dugout in Moyes’ absence, picked up their first Premier League win of the season last weekend. West Ham were excellent, as strikes from Jarrod Bowen (2) and Sebastian Haller and an own goal gave the Irons a resounding 4-0 home win over Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers.

West Ham have picked up two easy wins in the EFL Cup, also. After seeing off fellow Londoners Charlton Athletic with a 3-0 triumph at the London Stadium in round two, West Ham thumped Hull City 5-1 at home last Tuesday, with both Haller and Andriy Yarmolenko netting doubles.

Everton vs West Ham United Betting Advice

West Ham seem to struggle against Everton. In fact, since 2007, the London side have beaten the Merseysiders on just four occasions. The pair drew 1-1 at the London Stadium back in January in the last meeting, though Everton won the reverse game 2-0 at Goodison Park.

Key Facts – Everton vs West Ham United Betting Tip

  • West Ham head to Merseyside having won three of their past four in all competitions
