FC Dallas Preview – Can Dallas win back-to-back?
A previous dismal six-match winless run in the MLS for FC Dallas was brought to an end by the hosts when they registered a 2-1 home win against high-flying New England Revolution last time out and Dallas will be looking for more of the same against Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday.
Three defeats and three draws had dumped Dallas bottom of the Western Conference but that three-point haul along with now being in second from bottom position should be the boost that Dallas were looking for as they seek to start climbing the division.
Despite that poor sequence of results, FC Dallas still remain unbeaten at home this season with a 2-4-0 10/6 record which includes wins against Portland Timbers and New England while the bigger picture shows the hosts are unbeaten in their last 15 matches.
Vancouver Whitecaps Preview – Can Vancouver break drought?
Vancouver Whitecaps swapped places with their hosts in the Western conference following last week’s results as Vancouver drew 2-2 with Seattle Sounders but this wasn’t enough to prevent them slipping to bottom of the pile.
It’s now six matches without a win in the MLS for Vancouver Whitecaps and having lost five of these six games, this doesn’t bode well for this upcoming trip to face FC Dallas despite the hosts being in a similar position.
Losses on the road against Minnesota United, Sporting Kansas, Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake were further compounded by a 2-1 defeat at home to LA Galaxy and confidence may well be fragile.
