Finland – Can Finland get a good start at home?

Finland had to start their Euro 2020 campaign with two away matches on the trot, firstly at Italy where they found themselves on the end of a 2-0 defeat, but the Fins did manage to bounce back with a much needed 2-0 win away at Armenia to give them confidence ahead of their date with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday evening.

Recent results have been very mixed for Finland who have managed to win just 2 of their last 6 matches in all competitions which were wins over Sweden and the aforementioned Armenia, but defeats to Greece, Hungary, Estonia and Italy prove that the hosts still have a lot of work to do here.

On home turf though, Finland have shown some impressive form as they’ve won 5 of their last 6 matches and have suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 10 matches overall, which was a 2-1 loss to Estonia, so the hosts will be in reasonably confident mood ahead of this clash.

Finland have faced Bosnia-Herzegovina just once before which ended in a 1-0 loss in Bosnia.

Bosnia-Herzegovina Prediction – Can Bosnia-H continue their form?

Bosnia-Herzegovina have made a solid start to their Euro 2020 campaign with a 2-1 win over Armenia and a point against Greece in a 2-2 draw, with both results being achieved at their Stadion Bilino Polje in Zenica, but this good start will give the visitors confidence that they can get something out of their trip to Finland on Saturday evening.

Bosnia have lost just 1 out of their last 12 matches overall which was a narrow 1-0 loss to the former European and World Cup champions, Spain, but aside from that loss, the visitors have really made massive improvements in their results both home and away and are seemingly on an upwards trajectory.

With just 1 loss from their last 7 away matches, Bosnia-Herzegovina look a solid unit and their emergence on the international stage continued during the Nations League when they finished top of Group 3 in League B with 10 points to their name and came out on top ahead of Austria and Northern Ireland.

  • Finland have won just 2 of their last 6 matches overall in all competitions
  • Finland have lost just 1 of their last 10 matches at home
  • Bosnia-Herzegovina have lost just 1 of their last 12 matches overall

Betting Tips Verdict

Both Finland and Bosnia-Herzegovina are in good form right now, but the visitors with Dzeko up front and the goalscoring exploits of midfielder Vrancic could prove to be decisive.
