League A Group 1 provides us with another mouthwatering encounter between France and Germany as the betting tips continue in Tuesday night’s edition of the Nations League.
France sit top of this three-nation group having earned a point in a 0-0 draw away at tonight’s opponents, Germany, along with recording a valuable 2-1 home win over Netherlands last time out in this competition.
The hosts were recently held to a 2-2 draw by Iceland, but I’m expecting the French to switch to serious mode for the visit of Germany on Tuesday night as les bleus look to open up a gap at the top of the group with a win here.
The World Cup holders are unbeaten in their last 14 matches in all competitions and their momentum will be very hard to stop here particularly with the likes of Giroud, Mbappe, Griezmann and Dembele spearheading the French attack.
It may be surprising to many to see Germany bottom of Group 1 but following a 0-0 draw at home with France and a heavy 3-0 defeat away to the Netherlands, Joachim Low’s side find themselves bottom with just one point to their name.
Germany experienced an extremely disappointing World Cup campaign which resulted in Low’s side finishing bottom of Group F due to an inferior goal difference behind South Korea, and their downturn in form has continued after the competition as they could only muster a draw and a defeat in their subsequent competitive matches thereafter.
The visitors head into this crucial clash having failed to win any of their last four away matches following losses against Austria, South Korea and Netherlands and another defeat in Paris here could see them facing a very tough challenge of avoiding an unthinkable relegation from League A.
