Fulham Prediction

Fulham’s mini revival of three matches without defeat came to an abrupt end away at Arsenal in a heavy 4-1 defeat at The Emirates which prompted further losses away at Burnley and at home to Tottenham, but they may well fancy their chances of getting something from Tuesday night’s clash with Brighton at Craven Cottage.

Prior to the three recent defeats, Fulham had gained points in draws against Newcastle United and Wolves in 0-0 and 1-1 stalemates but had also grabbed a precious three points with a 1-0 home win over beleaguered Huddersfield Town.

Although the hosts still remain in the bottom three and second from bottom in the division, the slow but steady signs of recovery are there to see under Claudio Ranieri, and a home record of 3-3-5 13/21 gives them a fighting chance of still avoiding the drop.

Fulham have lost just twice in their last six matches at home while forwards Mitrovic (8 goals) and Kamara (3 goals) look the main goal threats for The Cottagers.

Key-Facts – Fulham v Brighton

  • Fulham have lost just 2 of their last 6 matches at Craven Cottage
  • Brighton have lost 3 of their last 4 away matches
  • Brighton have conceded 2 goals or more in 8 of their 12 away matches

Brighton Prediction

By comparison, Brighton sit in the relative comfort of 13th place in the English top flight ahead of their trip to London for Tuesday night’s encounter against relegation threatened Fulham, but they have their home record to thank for avoiding dropping down into the relegation battle below them.

Brighton have won 9 matches in total, 6 of them being recorded at their AMEX Stadium, but they head into this clash having lost their last two league matches on the trot against Liverpool and Manchester United which were admittedly tough fixtures indeed.

However, an away record of 2-2-8 10/20 doesn’t fill me with much confidence, especially as they’ve lost three of their last four on their travels with defeats suffered at Burnley, Bournemouth and Manchester United.

In addition, Brighton have failed to score in 5 of their 12 away matches to date as well as keeping just one clean sheet on the road. Perhaps most important though is the fact that The Seagulls have conceded 2 goals or more in 8 of their 12 away matches.

Betting Tips Verdict

Fulham stand a good chance of picking up at least a point here considering Brighton’s poor away record, but I advise backing the hosts with the draw no bet option.
