Fulham Prediction – Can Fulham win three on the trot?

A shock 1-0 defeat away at Barnsley on the opening day of the new Championship season was Fulham’s greeting to their return to the second tier following their dismal Premier League campaign last season which ended in the London club being relegated.

However, Scott Parker’s side have since managed to bounce back by recording back-to-back wins over Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at Craven Cottage and Saturday afternoon’s 2-1 win away at hapless Huddersfield Town to hand them a valuable and most welcome 6 points to date.

With just 4 home win s out of their last 11 matches in all competitions though at Craven Cottage, Fulham’s price for a straight win appear to be way too low for a side who haven’t yet hit their straps in their return to the Championship, and the local derby effect with Millwall being the visitors also needs to be taken into consideration.

In addition, the last two meetings at Craven Cottage have resulted in a 1-0 win for Fulham and a 1-0 win away from home for Millwall.

Millwall Prediction – Can Millwall extend unbeaten start?

It’s been an impressive start to the new season for visitors Millwall as Neil Harris’s side still remain unbeaten after their first four matches in all competitions of the campaign so far, and they too head into this clash having registered back-to-back wins.

Millwall started the season with a solid opening day 1-0 home win against Preston North End and followed that up with an impressive point away from home at The Hawthorns where they held West Brom to a 1-1 draw.

Another fixture against West Brom immediately followed as Millwall again played The Baggies, but this time in the League Cup where they went one step better by recording a 2-1 win in the west midlands which handed West Brom an early exit from the competition.

The Lions returned to The Den on the weekend where they registered a 1-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday which means that Millwall still remain unbeaten and have conceded just 2 goals in their first 4 matches of the season.

The visitors have also avoided defeat away from home by 2 goals or more in their last 21 away matches in all competitions.

Key-Facts – Fulham v Millwall

  • Millwall still remain unbeaten after the first 4 matches of the season
  • The last 2 meetings at Craven Cottage have resulted in a win for both teams

Betting Tips Verdict

Fulham might just edge this one but the hosts are priced way too low for this local derby and Millwall have been solid so far this season.
