Fulham Preview – Cottagers to get back on track with an easy three points?

Fulham suffered a setback at the weekend, falling to a shock home defeat to in-form Huddersfield Town. However, Marco Silva’s troops have been going great guns of late, with the loss to the Terriers being their first league reverse of 2022.

Not too much damage was done, as Bournemouth and Blackburn Rovers both had their games postponed due to the bad weather. The Cherries’ match at Swansea City scheduled for this Tuesday has also been called off, so three points for the Cottagers on Wednesday will see them extend their lead at the top to nine.

Our betting prediction:

Fulham have been excellent at home this season, losing just three times at the Cottage. They had taken ten points from a possible 12 on their own patch before the reverse last Saturday. They should get back to winning ways in front of their own fans in midweek.

Peterborough United Preview – Life after Ferguson to start with another defeat?

Darren Ferguson left Peterborough United earlier in the week. His last game in charge was Saturday’s damaging 1-0 defeat to Wayne Rooney’s Derby County. Posh have taken just two points from the last 27 on offer.

Peterborough, who finished second in EFL League One last term, have picked up a mere five league wins from 31 games this term. December’s victory over Millwall remains Posh’s only league success since October.

After taking just one point from crunch matches against Reading and Derby over the past seven days, Peterborough have slipped five points away from safety. They could be in for another long evening on Wednesday.

Fulham vs Peterborough United Betting Advice

Peterborough gave Fulham a good game at the Weston Homes Stadium back in November. Aleksandar Mitrovic’s goal 15 minutes from time proved to be the only difference between the two sides.

The November meeting was the first fixture between the duo since the Cottagers thumped Posh 6-2 at the Cottage in an FA Cup tie in 2011. United’s last win over the London side came way back in 1992.

Key Facts – Fulham vs Peterborough United Betting Tip

  • Fulham have won six of their last eight league games
  • Peterborough have taken just two points from the last 27 available
  • Posh have lost 14 of their 16 away league fixtures this season

Fulham will still be licking their wounds after last weekend’s disappointing home reverse to Huddersfield. Silva’s boys will be out for blood here and should bounce back with a comfortable home victory in midweek. Check out the decent odds of 8/11 for the Londoners to be winning at half time and full time.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is well clear at the top of the Championship scoring charts, scoring a staggering 31 goals in 29 appearances. The Serbia international has scored two or more goals in a game on eight occasions for his club this term. You can get 2/1 for Mitrovic to net two or more in this one.
