Gateshead will be looking to build upon their hard earned point away at Ebbsfleet United on Saturday when they play host to Halifax Town at their Gateshead International Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Having won all three on home turf, they hold a good record of 3-0-0 7/0 as The Heed occupy the fringes of the play-off pack, and a win here today would almost certainly see them jump into the top five.
Visitors Halifax Town come into this clash having registered back-to-back wins themselves, with victories over Solihull Moors (away) and Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Guiseley. However, it took Halifax a while to get going in this new National League campaign as they started off with no wins from their first four matches.
Defeats to Aldershot Town and Dover Athletic book-ended draws with Barrow and Chester, while their only away win so far this season was against third from bottom Solihull, so it’ll be interesting to see how they fare against top half outfit Gateshead here today.
The Shaymen’s last visit to Gateshead in the National League saw them record an emphatic 4-1 win back in 2015, but their personnel has changed somewhat since those days, and Gateshead have been pretty solid at home in recent times.
