Germany have already qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after a dominant qualification campaign. However, they have two Group J games left to play, starting with a home match against Liechtenstein on Thursday. The Germans are 20 points ahead of their opponents and are the overwhelming favourites to ease past the minnows at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg. How many will Hansi Flick’s troops win by on home soil? We have the latest odds and best tips.

Germany Preview – Another easy win for the Germans?

Germany have dominated Group J, winning seven of their eight matches so far. They made sure of qualification in the last international window, beating Romania 2-1 at home and winning 4-0 away at North Macedonia. Overall in Group J, Die Mannschaft have scored 23 and conceded just three.

Since that shock 2-1 home reverse to North Macedonia in Duisburg back in March – when Joachim Low was still in charge – Germany have not put a foot wrong, winning five qualifiers in a row and shipping just one goal.

Our betting prediction:

Flick’s boys are already safely through to next year’s World Cup in Qatar, but they will want to end their campaign with two more wins. After entertain Liechtenstein on Thursday, Germany finish with a trip to Armenia on Sunday.

Liechtenstein Preview – Heavy defeat for the visitors?

Liechtenstein have had another tough qualifying campaign. Martin Stocklasa’s side have taken a solitary point from eight qualifiers, drawing one and losing seven. They have scored just twice and conceded a staggering 23 goals.

Liechtenstein’s one and only point came against Armenia in Yerevan two months back. Former Manchester United and Arsenal man Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave the Armenians a lead on the stroke of half time. However, the Blues-Reds hung in there and got their equaliser ten minutes from time thanks to Noah Frick’s effort.

The Liechtenstein players will no doubt enjoy the occasion in Wolfsburg, but they could be in for a long night if Germany are on song. The bookies have the away win priced at 66/1, while the draw is available at 25/1.

Germany vs Liechtenstein Betting Advice

Liechtenstein did a decent job of containing Germany when the pair met in St. Gallen in Switzerland back in September. In fact, it took the Germans 41 minutes to finally get through, with Chelsea’s Timo Werner opening the scoring. Leroy Sane doubled their advantage with 13 minutes to go in the eventual 2-0 German victory.

Key Facts – Germany vs Liechtenstein Betting Tip

  • Germany are already through as Group J winners
  • Liechtenstein have taken just one point from a possible 24
  • The Germans have scored 23, while Liechtenstein have shipped 23

This looks like a real mismatch on paper. As we touched on, Liechtenstein did well to keep the score at just 2-0 when the duo locked horns on Swiss soil two months back, but the Germans should secure a bigger win on home turf this Thursday. Take a punt on the hosts to win -4 at the decent price of 2/5.

Bayern Munich ace Serge Gnabry is the joint top scorer in Group J with five goals to his name. Gnabry has netted 12 goals for club and country across all competitions this season, and the attacker is nicely priced at 15/4 to score the opening goal of this game.
