Staying with Group 2, and Greece take on Hungary as the betting tips continue in the Nations League with both teams looking for the points to move closer to group leaders, Finland.
Greece have started their new UEFA Nations League campaign with back-to-back away matches at Estonia and tonight’s opponents Hungary which resulted in a 1-0 win but also a 2-1 loss respectively.
The hosts have therefore gained three points from their first two matches which is not a bad start but their inconsistent streak makes it almost impossible to tell which Greek side will turn up on Saturday night when they prepare for the visit of Hungary.
With just one win from their last seven matches at home in all competitions, which was a 4-0 win over minnows Gibraltar, the safest option is to back the hosts to score at least once here with the likes of midfielder Fortounis and Marseille forward Mitroglou in their ranks.
Hungary also sit on three points ahead of this important Group 2 fixture following a 1-0 defeat away at Finland but grabbing all three points against tonight’s opponents, Greece, with a 2-1 home win at their Groupama Aréna in Budapest.
This recent win over Greece ended a run of five matches without a win for the visitors, but the positive aspect for Hungary is that they’ve scored in 8 of their last 10 internationals, and the likes of Kovacs pulling the strings in midfield along with forward trio of Sallai, Szalai and Varga should pose the Greek defence a few problems of their own.
But having lost five of their last six on their travels, Hungary are also hard to justify picking them to win this tussle, so my betting tips suggest the safest option all round is to back both teams to score here at great odds.
