Rennes occupy a much more respectable and creditable position in Ligue 1 as they sit in 7th place and just four points adrift of 4th placed Saint-Etienne and the Europa League qualifier spot ahead of their trip to Guingamp on Wednesday night.
After enduring what was a tricky period of their league campaign during mid-September through to early December which yielded just two league wins for Rennes (both away wins at Monaco and Caen respectively), Rennes have hit a purple patch in recent times.
