Halifax Prediction

Halifax currently occupy 16th place on the National League ladder and hold a five point margin above Dover Athletic and the bottom four of the non-league top flight ahead of this Tuesday night’s clash at The Shay.

Despite winning just once in their last 15 matches overall which was a 1-0 home win over the aforementioned Dover Athletic, Halifax possess a fairly reasonable looking home record of 5-3-2 12/6 which includes wins over Barrow, Maidstone United, Dagenham & Redbridge and Gateshead.

However, there’s also been a number of draws that Halifax have been involved in (8 in total in fact) and the possibility of a draw in this encounter shouldn’t be ruled out. In addition, the recent win over Dover ended a run of five matches without a win on home turf as The Shaymen suffered recent losses to Hartlepool United and Eastleigh.

Halifax have drawn 8 of their last 15 matches overall so far this season.

Boreham Wood Prediction

Boreham Wood also ended a run of matches without a win in the National League last time out when they secured all three points with a 1-0 home win over Leyton Orient, but that put an end to five league matches without a win which included defeats to Fylde and Dover Athletic.

Away from home, Boreham Wood possess a record of 2-3-6 9/14 so they too are not exactly in mercurial form right now on the road as well as winning just three matches in their last 12 overall – all of which have been achieved at their Meadow Park ground.

The visitors are eight points adrift of the play-off pack but a win tonight at Halifax would move them within striking distance of the top seven with the busy Christmas schedule just around the corner.

However, Boreham Wood’s form away from home has been pretty ordinary so a point at Halifax wouldn’t be the worst result for Luke Garrad’s boys here.

Betting Tips Verdict

These two teams come into this encounter in pretty average form, so the draw could be on the cards in this one.
