Although St Mirren finished last season’s Premiership campaign in 9th place and two points ahead of Saturday’s hosts, Hamilton Academical, the visitors will have pinpointed their poor away record last term as an area for definite improvement this time around as they captured just two wins on the road all season.
However, early indications suggest this could be another frustrating campaign for The Saints as they registered a 1-0 home win on the opening day of the Premiership season against Livingston, only for their hard work to be undone by a heavy 3-0 loss at Ibrox against last season’s runners-up, Rangers.
