Brian Rice knows this is a game that his team really need to be taking three points from. Hamilton are sitting bottom of the table entering the first week of February – not a position they are unfamiliar with – but one they have to look to improve. Previous years tells you they know how to get out of this predicament and it usually involves winning matches against the teams around them.
Rice would not have been too unhappy with losing 2-0 to Celtic last time out but will be targeting this as a must-win considering it’s at home against the team above them and a chance to jump above their opponents at the same time.
Ross County Preview – Will County bounce back from recent defeats to keep themselves off bottom spot?
John Hughes’ objective when taking charge of Ross County back in December was to ensure they were a top-flight club come the end of the season. Although there have been some positive results and encouraging performances since then, County are just a point off bottom place and have played two games more than tomorrow’s opponents so it’s a very precarious position.
The Dingwall club come into the game on the back of two disappointing results – losing heavily away to Rangers and then going down 2-1 against a Motherwell team who went above them int he table as a result.

Hughes’ two victories since taking over at County have come against Hibs and Aberdeen. Whilst that is an excellent effort it does raise concerns that the team raise their game against the bigger teams in the league but are unable to scrap in order to get points against the teams in the bottom half of the table. We’ll get another indication tomorrow if that is the case.
County have been depleted with the departure of top scorer Ross Stewart who has joined Sunderland. It’s not an ideal situation for the club’s push for survival but the player made it clear he wanted to leave.
Hamilton vs Ross County Betting Advice
This will be the third meeting between these sides this season and the previous two have went the way of the visiting team. Ross County won here in August before Hamilton turned on the style in the Highlands with a 2-0 victory just before Christmas which was ultimately the game that prompted a change in manager for County.
Ross County victories in Hamilton are rare, however, that was their first since 2015 so they don’t have a great record at this stadium.
