Hammarby Prediction – Can Hammarby bounce back?

After being handed recent back-to-back defeats away at 2nd placed AIK and 5th placed Hacken respectively, Hammarby will be keen to return home.

2-0 losses in each of these two away matches have left Hammarby 8 points adrift of 3rd placed Djurgarden, but a win on Sunday night would be welcome.

A win on Sunday night against lowly Falkenberg would see them reduce the deficit to just 5 points, and form at home has been impressive this season.

Hammarby still remain unbeaten on home turf at their Tele2 Arena, as the hosts possess a strong looking record of 4-2-0 14/5.

Draws with Kalmar 1-1 and a 2-2 draw with Norrkoping have been either side of an excellent 4-match winning streak.

Wins against AFC Eskilstuna 3-1, Djurgarden 2-1, Sirius 2-0 and Ostersunds 4-0 have made the hosts a formidable force in their own backyard.

Just 4 defeats from their last 21 matches at home in the Allsvenskan further underlines Hammarby’s strength at home in the Swedish top flight.

Falkenberg Prediction – Can Falkenberg continue revival?

Although they occupy a second from bottom position in the Swedish top flight and one of the automatic relegation spots, Falkenberg have staged a recovery in recent weeks.

After a miserable run of 9 matches without a win which included no fewer than 7 defeats, the visitors have picked up a few valuable points since then.

Back-to-back draws with Helsingborg 1-1 and Kalmar 0-0 have been followed up with a much needed 2-1 home win against Elfsborg.

Despite this recent upturn in results, Falkenberg still remain in the bottom two of the Allsvenskan but they’re now just 3 points adrift of Helsingborg and safety.

However, the visitors face a very difficult trip to face an unbeaten Hammarby in their own surroundings, with Falkenberg still yet to record an away win this term.

A poor away record of 0-2-4 7/13 emphasises why Falkenberg find themselves in their current predicament, and have now gone 15 matches without a win on the road.

Key-Facts – Hammarby v Falkenberg

  • Hammarby still remain unbeaten at home in this season’s Allsvenskan
  • Hammarby have lost just 4 of their last 21 matches on home soil

Betting Tips Verdict

Despite recent defeats away from home, Hammarby will be confident they can bounce back here with a convincing win against a poor-travelling Falkenberg outfit.
