Hearts Prediction

Hearts seem to have recovered from their recent mini slump which saw the hosts suffer back-to-back defeats to Livingston and Aberdeen, losing 5-0 and 2-0 respectively, but The Jambos have since bounced back in style by recording two wins on the trot over Hamilton Academical and Hibernian, the latter being a 1-0 win away in the Edinburgh derby.

Hearts sit in fifth place in the Scottish Premiership and hold a comfortable six-point cushion ahead of 7th placed Livingston ahead of their home match against bottom club Dundee on Wednesday night, with what looks the perfect opportunity to further consolidate their top six status this evening.

Hearts also possess a decent looking home record which stands at 6-2-2 13/6 which includes back-to-back recent wins against Motherwell and Hamilton Academical as well as a 1-0 win over Celtic earlier in the season, along with keeping 5 clean sheets from their 10 home matches to date.

Key-Facts – Hearts v Dundee

  • Hearts have kept 5 clean sheets from their 10 home matches to date
  • Dundee have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches
  • Dundee possess the worst defensive record away from home in the Premiership

Dundee Prediction

As mentioned earlier, Dundee sit bottom of the Scottish top flight with just 10 points under their belt so far this term following what has been a very difficult season for The Dees which has been further compounded by four defeats from their last five matches overall.

For a short while, it looked like Dundee were staging a recovery as they put together a four match unbeaten run from mid-November to early December which saw the visitors pick up points with draws against St Mirren, Hibernian and Rangers as well as gaining a heavy 4-0 home win over Hamilton Academical.

Away from home though, the problems have continued as they’ve lost five of their last six on their travels within a poor record of 1-1-8 7/25 with the visitors also possessing the worst defensive record away from home in the Premiership.
In addition, Dundee have failed to score in 5 of their 10 matches on the road this season.

Betting Tips Verdict

Hearts should continue their winning streak against a poor Dundee outfit who are starting to stare relegation in the face.
