Hibernian Prediction

Hibernian still sit in 8th place of the Scottish Premiership despite recording a great 2-0 home win over Celtic on the weekend which followed a previous 1-0 win away at Hamilton Academicals, so the hosts will be chasing a third league win on the trot when they return to home turf on Wednesday night at Easter Road.

Hibernian have made some improvements of late as the hosts have suffered just one defeat from their last five matches which was a 3-0 loss away at Kilmarnock, but recent points taken off Dundee and St Mirren as well as the aforementioned wins have kept them in touch with Livingston who occupy the last remaining Championship Round spot.

Hibs possess a solid looking home record of 4-3-1 19/8 which includes wins over Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Hamilton Academicals and the weekend win over Celtic. However, this will be their first match against Rangers so we’ll see where the benchmark is after this clash.

Forwards Kamberi (5 goals) and Shaw (4 goals) look the most likely for the hosts here.

Rangers Prediction

Rangers remain top of the Scottish Premiership after registering a 1-0 home win over Hamilton Academicals but they are level on 34 points with Kilmarnock who are the dark horses to lift the league title this season and seem to be in solid form right now.

Back to Rangers, and the visitors have suffered just one defeat from their last 10 matches overall which was a surprising 1-0 loss at home to Aberdeen, but Steven Gerrard’s side have won the other 7 matches and sit top of the pile on goal difference.

Rangers’s away record stands at 3-3-2 13/9 which upon first glance doesn’t appear to be too impressive but the visitors are unbeaten in their last four matches on their travels which includes wins at Hamilton Academicals, St Mirren and Hearts along with a point at Dundee last time out.

Midfielder Arfield (5 goals) along with forwards Morelos (9 goals), Lafferty (3 goals) and Candeias (4 goals) should pose the Hibs’ defence plenty of problems on Wednesday night.

Betting Tips Verdict

Hibernian recorded a good win over Celtic but we’ll see if they can repeat the feat against top of the league Rangers here.
